SEASON OVER LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT!!!!

The Club was formed in 1989 by 3 or 4  active wheelchair persons one is still a member.   The club has kept going with 10 to 14 active member's changing year to year,  some have left and returned,  but others due to there well being have had to stop. The club is always looking for new members from 6 years to 106 if your game so are we!!!

The club holds collections in Barrow-in-Furness, Ulverston also wheelchair pushes, raffles sponsored games and are always looking for new sponsors as some of the wheelchairs are  ready for renewing and at the cost about £1800 each it takes a lot of effort and time.  If any one can help please feel free to ring us or just come along.  Regular grants and sponsorship helps a lot,  as things become more expensive it gets harder to find  the extra money to cover the costs.   

 We have played in most school gyms and halls in Barrow-in-Furness, Dalton, Ulverston Glaxo sports club, but since 1998 when "HOOPS" basketball centre was built,  we moved in! and  it's the best place that we have played in,  the lottery help pay for it.  We train on Thursday 6pm till 8pm and Saturdays 1pm till 3pm or later if we have games. We know have a team that play in the British Basketball association second division north.  We travel all round the country playing and attend a lot of sports not just basketball!  We travel into schools when asked! also a team  which goes to the Bath and West Show and play all types of sports from tennis, bowls to shooting, archery, etc, please come along if your interested!
